Broken down short bicuspid with subgingival caries

From: Terry Pannkuk To: roots Sent: Tuesday, March 20, 2012 11:23 PM Subject: [roots] 24 year recall-broken down short bicuspid with subgingival caries and perio, fine now. I treated this bicuspid in 1988 and recalled the patient today. I haven'ít treated any other teeth for her as her general dentist does her endo. I hadnít seen her since 1988 and her dentist referred her over because the extraction socket of #29 hadnít healed and he was wondering if #30 was the problem . #30 exhibited cracked tooth syndrome (pain on release of biting with sharp transient cold sensitivity). Two problems: poor extraction healing (sequestrum, root tip, or foreign body suspected) combined with the cracked #30). Plan, have the socket problem fixed and once itís healed address #30 which is less of a complaint. - Terry Todayís issue, multifactorial. broken down short bicuspid with subgingival caries
