Subject: [roots] 5 year follow up of trauma case
Here is one from my practice with the exception that I didn't do
anything except splint the teeth with Ribbond and composite (Enamel HFO)
for 3 months. The five year follow up shows the teeth unchanged and
fully in function - no endo needed so far.
Best regards from Flensburg, Germany, - Winfried

Dear Winfried,
Beautiful follow up
Did the teeth present any changes on the colour of thr crown? - Rodrigo Cunha
Winifred, the cold test right after the trauma was negative for 11. Is
it still negative after 5 years? - Andreea
Dear Andeea, cold test is unchanged (and im my opimion mot really reliable) in this case.
- Winfried
Dear Winfried,
wonderful case, thanks for sharing. Beautiful example how expectative treatment can work.
Best regards from Stuttgart - Peter Kiefner
Thanks Peter, I was lucky the topic had been discussed thoroughly on roots before so I
was sure how to access the case. - Winfried
Winfried, I would think endo on the coronal segment is indicated. There is no worry
of resorption? And why would the cold test be unreliable after this amount of time?
