Subject: [implants] Fw: an implant case

Seated this yesterday. This guy has been without teeth for a year. No occlusion anywhere. He's a massive gagger so
this case was a tough one to handle. I prefer open impressions for cases this large because of increased accuracy but
no deal with this one.

Photography was quick and basic and not for cosmetic showing. The patient was not happy with the shooting and this is
as big a smile as we could get...no full face allowed. #5 and #6 were an issue that we had to deal with. Some have
said that we should have built out 6 to fill in mesial space but this was done by a "specialist" in North Georgia and
we could not find out what kind of implant it was in order to redo. The implant really was misplaced and should have
been move forward but that was too much trauma for something that didn't make a hill beans difference to the patient.
He just wanted to eat.

He is a real character...fourth generation Arab and check casher for a living. These were Nobel Biocare Select Replace
implants mostly 5 and 6 mms. I think there might have been a four in there somewhere. These were custom abutments and
not stock abutments. Lab work by Ultimate Styles in California. Again, my photography does not do them justice. He
is a pretty heavy closet smoker and we got the stains added - Guy W. Moorman, Jr. DDS
