Second canal in the apical third

From: Javier Pascual To: ROOTS Sent: Friday, September 02, 2011 11:36 PM Subject: [roots] Banana Split I had to retreat because tooth was symptomatic after one month of previous RCT (positive percussion, pain to palpation and little buccal fluctuant swelling) As you can see in preop radiographs there was a second canal in the apical third (distal-palatal direction) Hand files and precurved maual ProTapers. Two weeks with Ca(OH)2 and patient was sympton free. Obturation with gutta + AHPlus with warm vertical compactation. Cheers!! - Javier

Javier, great case!, congratulations, really outstanding - Dr. Carlos Saucedo Mtz. Wonderful documentation of a well managed case, Javier. What have been your thoughts to take several x-rays with files? Couldn't you rely on the EFL? - Jörg
