Subject: [roots] biggest apex ever
Hi rooters, today i did endo without files.
Guess why?
Practically i used irrigants and ultrasonics
I tried to gouge the apex with a modified gg6 , absolutely no contact with walls whatsoever.
Mta and warm vertical placement. - Sergiu Nicola

Nice, how did you control and place the apical plug of MTA? - Bill
Hi sergiu, nice case
single visit treatment??
Did you use Naocl 5,25 % ór Chx 2%???
Did you use collagen matrix?? - EDWARD ABADIA
Thanx to everyone.
First of all MTA placement how to:
Since it was such a big apex, i have practically seen all the time the apex near
the mta plugger. i placed first 2 mm with visual control, then i vibrated
ultrasonically. after that, i placed another 2 mm of mta , more powder than liquid mix,
and in a coupple of minutes it was almost hard as a rock
then i placed the obtura gun in contact with mta and i plugged
it with a 10 Schilder plugger.
Yes it was a single visit:)(i am a big fan)
I used irrigants in this following order:
NaOCl 5% rinsing for 2 minutes continous, then ultrasonics 5 times in a raw
EDTA 17% rinsing and ultrasonics - 2 times
CHX 20% rinsing continous for 2 minutes, then ultrasonics, 5 times in a raw
Citric acid as a final rinse
Drying and then obturation. - Sergiu Nicola
Wow...that was huge. Did you consider a revasc? - Fred
Dear Fred, yes, probably it was a nice candidate for revasc waiting but the patient
is a little bit too old for things like this:) - Sergiu Nicola
