Dr Balachandran Srinivasan, completed his B Sc and B D S from Madras University in 1961 and the M D S in the year 1964 from Bombay University. Was awarded fellowship by the Association of Osteosynthesis (A.O) Switzerland in 1979 and by International Team of Implantology (I.T.I),Switzerland in the year 1997. Presented many papers in national and international conferences. He delivered "Dr.M.S.N.Ginwalla" oration at the national conference of the Association of Oral & Maxillofacial surgeons of India. Represented Dean of Dental Collges in India at the W.H.O Workshop held in Tokyo in 1990. Awarded "Prof. S S Khera Award" in (1998) and "Vishist Chikitsa Medal" (1995). Member, Expert Committee, Ministry of Health, Govt. of India for the establishment of Medical and Dental Colleges (1993). Founder Editor, Indian Journal of Oral & Maxillo Facial Surgery (1980-84). Member Expert Committee for Implementation of Oral health care programme, Govt. of India
