Buccal furcation defect

Subject: [roots] Didn't make it to five years

Here’s an early failure. I treated this molar last Fall. It had a
buccal furcation defect. The tooth was the sole posterior support
for an RPD. She came back yesterday with Class 3 mobility and a
perio blow out. The partial nuked it. Craig gets the next one
like this, but I was dying to see what the shaved back root looked
like. 4 apical portals and center apical crypt contiguous with the
furcation that I prepped out by sequential transverse
apical resection - Terry
