Subject: [roots] Calcified case
H/O Trauma Asymptomatic . Pt was concerned about discoloration.
RD wanted me to complete RCT so he could proceed with Bleaching.
Canal was patent after I reached the middle third. As I started
access cavity prep I could see a distinct dark color dentin
compared to the surrounding white or bright dentin. I used the
Munce burs to follow the subtle change in colour.
This took a while as I could identify the colour only when the
dentin was bone dry. So the routine was drill - flush -dry-drill.

Amazing case and documentation Venkat,
Which material did you use as coronal seal over guta and which
bleaching protocol? - Nuria from Spain
Thanks Nuria,
I used GIC for 2mm coronal plug over GP
Bleaching protocol is sodium perborate with water. placed a
sandy mix into the chamber and temp seal with cavit. repeat the
same if more change in colour is required.
final restoration with composite. LIT says to use ascorbate
(reducing agent) after the bleaching for better bonding or wait
2 weeks before the final composite.
Will post a case with bleaching sequence soon.- Venkat
did u use sodium hypochlorite to irrigate and
RC Help in this case..?? - Joseph Joy
