Subject: [roots] Calcified Incisor
Hello Everyone,Here is a calcified Incisor I treated.
The canal was located by a combination of observing colour changes through the scope as well as
periodically checking the direction of the munce bur with Radiographs.
Eventually, the canal was located at a position that was much more mesial and lingual than what
I thought initially. (see slide 4 3rd picture)
comments welcome - Siju

As usual a wonderful job. Alot of times I look at these tough cases as you present them
and envision where I would trough .
It is a great way to learn from your cases. Thank you so much for your wonderful documentation
and willingness to share. More people could learn a thing or two about how to teach from
your methodologies.
Thanks again and congrats on a great result. - Glenn
Very nice case Siju, and beautiful documentation! - Marga
Great case clap Clap clap- Anantpal
Nicely done Siju. Treating these kind of teeth always is difficult. Taking additional X-rays
during the search for the canals, is one of the best things you can do. - Rafaël
Great case Siju and neat documentation.
Which sizes and lenghts do you recomend us to buy for this situations: finding calcified canals
and searching MB2 and middle mesials?
THANK YOU VERY MUCH SIJU. COULD YOU SHOW THE DRILL YOU USE FOR MB AND ISTMUS? - Javier Pascual
Hi Javier, Thanks!
I use 34 mm length ones.
I normally use sizes 1, 1/2 and 1/4 for digging deep.
I don't use these burs for MB2 or isthmus troughing anymore. I prefer using a long fine tapered bur from Horico.
If you want, I will post some pictures. - siju
Very nice case Siju, and beautiful documentation! - Marga

Hi Maria, The calcified portion of the canal will be dark when compared to the adjacent "whitish" dentin.
