Subject: [roots] CBCT saved me
So is this still an implant forum or is there any endo being
shared still? LOL
I would likely have left this mb2 untreated had the cbct not
given me clear evidence that I needed to keep on troughing deeper.
I was getting uncomfortable about how deep I was troughing, even in
the presence of the landmark dessicated pulp, so I packed the four
canals I'd found and took a cbct.
The axial slice I attached here gave me the confidence to know I
had to keep on going. Before doing the cbct I took a couple angled
2D rads, and there wasn't clear indication of a missed mb2 at least
not at my level of ability to interpret those rads.
Cool db2 canal showing on the cbct.
So does anyone think I've screwed the pooch restoratively by going
after this canal and weakening the mb root?
BTW, that is a cavit temp filling with palatal post space (ultracal
in post space). This referring doc doesn't allow me to do buildups
and wants posts in every toot. - Mark
