Here's a tooth referred in for tx under ga. Semed like an ordinary
maxillary molar #14. Actually there's nothing ordinary about maxillary
molars.

I was happy to have identified, accessed and instrumented 4 canals. I
asked my assistnt to take some angled rads to get a better view of the
fourth canal. Then i see what i think is a 5th canal but I only found 4
orifices. Looks like i got lucky and hit a big accessory on the db root
or that canal had 2 apexes.

Hand instruments (C+ files and hedstroms) used in a reciprocating
handpiece (08 C+ to wl by hand then up to a 20 using the handpiece) then
2,3 gg's and F2 protaper rotary to wl. edta and chlor extra irrgation-
last rinse edta. Obturated w an obtura 2 using resilon/epiphany squirt.
No cones- all squirt.

I'm pretty sure I would not have obturated the 2nd db apex without the
hydraulics of a squirt obturation. Also, I'm doing a lot more w the
reciprocating handpiece now than the rotary. - Arturo
