Subject: [roots] Sep instrument removal a la Rosenberg

Today this patient returned for 6 months follow-up of 16. I did a
file removal procedure a la Dave Rosenberg.

To summarize, bypass the sep. file at 2 different locations, and
work up to a file # 20 in each location to patency. Then place both
files # 20 to length, twist them together and pull out.....
Bringing the the first file to WL was a piece of cake, the second
one took me much longer... I decided to leave the first file in
place while working with the second one, used a needle holder after
the braiding, and there it was......... Oh yeah, I almost forgot,
I covered the other orifices prior to the pulling out procedure,
ask me how I know this is a must........:-))

Last 2 rads are from today, healing has taken place,
jippiejajeeeeeeeeeeeeeee (Dutch expression of happiness:-) - Marga

That took a lot of guts to take that photo with the separated piece lying on the edge just ready to fall back in Nicely done. I doní't seem to have much success using that technique. Did you use kís or hedstoms to twist together? Clap, clap, clap (American expression of approval - gary Thanks Gary, I like to be on the edge......:-) I used K-files. - Marga Maybe Iíll try that next time. I was taught the technique with h files. - gary Pity I can't use this technique without a scope. Like allways, great work and even the healing is great news for the patient- Thomas
