This patient was sent to me after biting down too hard on a chicken bone.
His dentist found it difficult to anaesthetise so temporised.
I found 2 hyperaemic distals and a dying mesial canals(2).
The problem is the crack which traverses from distal to mesial, does go down both mesial and distal canals but
does not cross the pulpal floor.
I think it is a goner but the patient wants to give it a go
All the techniques seen here were made possible by this website and its wonderful practitioners,I can honestly
say that I have learned more here than at university.
1 shows the crack unstained,
2 crack stained with methylene blue, picture
3 with munce canal projectors so I could build a core to give some support to the cracks ,
4 After removal; of canal projectors and finally picture
5 with access closed with purple flow.
I would ideally have liked to place a temporary crown immediately but ran out of time - Solly
