From: Sergiu Nicola To: ROOTS Sent: Saturday, April 12, 2008 5:25 AM Subject: [roots] A working day of my life First case is absolutely amasing, the patient asked for her dentist to make a bridge, and the GP started to do RCTS on sound teeth.(to prevent pulpitis:) ANd, then the problems started: he broked a barbered broach and he refered the patient to an endodontis. The endodontist broke other foiles, he declined his competence and asked for an oral surgeon to do an apicoectomy with retrofilling:) he did the apicoectomy but no retrofilling.. Finally, she camed to my office, asking for advice.(it looks like needle in the haystack series i posted on ROOTS, but more HORROR:) Second case is a trauma case, a few years ago, the patient (a dentist and a friend of mine) received a fist in his lower jaw and the teeth developed some enamel cracks. He forgot that incident, and last week he got a biiig swelling under the chin, he made some xrays, and sent them to me. his mother, also a dentist, drained one of them . Today he came into my office, and instead of 3 months calcium hydroxide i performed a single visit:)) (i started 2 more cases, retreatments, a too easy and nothing special stuff to post it :) - Dr. Sergiu Nicola
