Subject: [roots] Implant #13 & #14

from one of my 2nd year residents.....

Hello Everyone,

Here is an implant case that I worked on with the best Implantologist
I know, Dr. Bachstein.

For this case I used Ankylos C/X: A11 and B11 implants, Fixtures
placed and torqued in place, flap readapted, sutured with 5.0
polypropylene.

Any advice is much appreciated. Thanks a lot.

Implant #13 & #14 How long after the extraction and socket preservation were the implants placed? What did you use for socket grafting? - Keith MTF was placed into the extraction sites. 6 months was the waiting period. - Fred Why socket graft? - Terry The periodontist recommended grafting as there was some missing buccal plate. - Fred The best graft material is titanium. - Keith Try placing an implant into titanium some time. - gary The titanium is the implant. Why would you put an implant in an implant? - Keith Apparently my attempt at humor failed. - Gary I guess you could think of a cover screw as being an implant in an implant. We all know itís possible to be more screwed once screwed. - Terry Gary, not necessary! consider Tigran and here you are... - Liviu
