Subject: [roots] Puzzle Case:more information
Ok, Here’s the rest of the story. I didn’t suspect endo at all from the CT data and decided to I and D the lesion
to see if it would produce pus. I didn’t and I dissected out a lipomatous lesion en toto. It was multilobular
with a yellow firm glistening texture. I’ve never seen one of these before in this area emulating a fluctuant
endo lesion so deceptively. I thought it was very interesting. I’m glad I didn’t access the usual suspect
figuring #28 was probably exposed with the caries causing the problem. We still may end up doing the endo on #28
after the caries is removed, but this certainly wasn’t related! Cool oral path experience today! The biopsy
report should come back in a few days. - Terry
