Subject: Re:[roots] And it failed
I had to extract a lower molar last Saturday ..............Endo was done by a periodontist almost 1 yr ago
...............in fact the patient had pain and swelling about 1 month after the initial treatment and the
dentist retreated it and to my surprise ( as the patient told me ) he recharged the patient
( one month after the initial treatment).
She came to me with Cellulitis and Grade 3 mobility/ deep lingual and buccal probing ......................
tooth extracted after 4 days of antibiotics. The pics of the extracted tooth are attached along with the
radiograph.
I found an overfill in the mesial canal which is not evident in the radiograph. After resecting approx
1.5 mm of the apex from the distal root I found some space and debris in between the two distal canals.
As people have been suggesting on Roots to go in for deeper shapes and larger apical preps ........
this case surely emphasizes their point .- Sachin
