I was just about to pack this one when I looked a bit closer and went back to the 6 file and found a point of negotiation
which led to the MM canal - Mark Dreyer, DMD
Hello Mark, Great job as usual!
I have two questions:
1) What was the reason for Endo ? Crack?
Irrev Pulpitis secondary to recently placed resin restoration. No crack noted. - Mark
2) Would your referrals have a problem if you filled up a simple occlussal access with a permanent restoration instead of
a temporary? Has it been discussed with them?
Most of them have a problem. Yes it has been discussed with them, and of all my referring docs, I have exactly one that buys
into the value of me placing the coronal restorations. I tried to incorporate this a couple yrs ago and ended up losing some
referring docs. They came back when I caved and agreed to settle for orifice barriers rather than taking the $ off their plate
by doing the bldups.
When my debts are retired in a few years, and I can afford to lose the business I'm sure I'll lose by doing it, I plan to be a
bit more hard nosed about this issue and place the coronal restoration as I feel it is the best way to protect my work and
ultimately best for the pt. - Mark
Just curious, - Siju
Great case Mark...CLAP CLAP CLAP - Glenn
Thanks, Glenn. I do wish I could trade places with you and send you an email from Italy! LOL
Enjoy it, that's a phenomenal country! - Mark
Mark, I question the validity of charging a patient to restore an endo access that was the result of their direct composite.
