Subject: [roots] Puzzle consultation
I saw this patient last week who was having discomfort related to the this lower first molar
(moderate percussion sensitivity and a spontaneous ache). 5mm pocket depth on the mesial,
7mm on the distal and, 5mm on the DB and ML line angles. The patient is an 88 year old female.
Patched dentistry throughout her mouth with recurrent caries on most. Medical history very
complicated and fragile. She’s understandably cranky and refuses to have the tooth extracted
worried about her bleeding and health status. She has no opposing molar. What would you do - Terry.
