MTA case  part I

This patient came to my office with an open tooth 1.2 (7 US) and a big periapical lesion.
I did the clean and shaping of the root canal system, put CaOH inside the root, and I said for him to see an
endodontist in France where he works.

MTA case part II

Three months later he came to my office with pain and an abscess in the palate, without any provisional restoration in
the tooth. He haven’t gone to finish the treatment as I said to him. He had a cotton pellet inside the root canal, that
when I removed began to drain.

MTA case part III

After three long visits the root canal was dry, then I decided to do the obturation with MTA (large apical gauge 70)
and a week later the backfill with gp. This case was finished in January, but I don’t have any x-ray of follow up
because he went to France again to work. I hope to have it in the summer... If he brings the tooth...

Thank you Jose for such a well documented case with MTA. How did you stop the MTA so beautifully at the apex. ?
