Itís been a long time since my last post and wanted to
share a case that has not been finished yet. I am
posting it because eventhough it seems to be huge it is
not a complete fracture. Necrosis on the pulpal tissue.

Just did the emergency approach.

Moderate but constant pain. Tender to percusion.
No response to cold/heat/electrical tests.

Emergency therapy consisted in removing the decay,
lowering the cusps level, draining the abscess, placing a
stailess steel band and tracing the depth of the crack.
Once the chamberís roof was removed the crack wasnít
visible anymore. The band placement was done by an
orthodontist the same day.

Patient rescheduled for next month. CaOH placed. - FB
