10 teeth, he wanted 12 but I didn't think he needed it. The
first pic is pre-op. The second is immediately after removal of the
temp stint. The third is the next day after some recontouring.
A couple of things to notice. First, my pre-op stick bite was off. SO
the wax-up got canted, so the temps got canted. We got an accurate one
for the final work. Two, this wax-up got out to one of my labs that I
do not normally use for cosmetic work. So you can see the #11 is too
bulky and so of the dimensions are less than ideal.
But we will get a great result using a more cosmetically trained lab.

If dental clinics get overrun with patients, everyone must deal with the
resulting stress. In a private practice this might be a happy problem
When clients requiring non-emergency appointments typically must book 10
– 12 weeks ahead, here’s an idea for how a reduction in wait times to 6
weeks might be operationalized.
1. Current clients are given appointments as needed until their work is
complete.
2. New clients without emergency needs are kept on a waitlist.
3. New clients with emergency needs are seen rapidly, stabilized, and
then added to the waitlist.
4. Once a good choice of appointments is available within 6 weeks, the
clinic staff calls the next person on the waitlist.
Advantages:
People already in the system could get their appointments in a
reasonable time frame, and get finished sooner.
People are less likely to miss appointments if they are within a reasonable time frame.
People who miss appointments without notice may be put on the waitlist.
New clients would also have reasonable time frames for getting their work done.
New clients could be advised of the estimated time before they might get
an appointment.
If appointments need to be changed, a reasonable alternative is available.
Reporting the number of clients on a waitlist may have more impact in
the organization than reporting wait times for the next appointment.
Disadvantages:
New clients would have to wait (sometimes for a long period) to get started.
New clients may need emergency care while waiting.
Dental frontline staff will have to deal with waitlist clients’ concerns.
