TAKING THE "SHIFT SHOT"
OR OFF ANGLE XRAY

From: craig To: ROOTS Sent: Saturday, January 14, 2006 3:07 AM Subject: [roots] FW: TAKING THE "SHIFT SHOT"
OR OFF ANGLE XRAY......I FOUND IT!!!! AH HA!!!.....I cant believe it! - Craig

Nice demonstration Craig. I also find that taking these off-angle radiogrs from the mesial separates the canals better than taking from the distal. You'd think that you could get the same separation whether you shoot from the M of the D, but I find better separation when from the M.... Of course the problem is, when the pt is a gagger, it's more difficult to get an adequate exposure for 2nd and 3rd molars shooting from the M b/c you have to extend the film (sensor) so far back.... cjm. C., Nice vis-ed for staff communication! - Mhenley Craig ....................I remember this presentation from 2 yrs or so when you had first posted it and this has helped a lot in understanding the off angled rads.Great stuff - Sachin
