Subject: [roots] perforation of t pulp chamber #31
Can anybody give me advice? The patient has got problems with tooth #31 last 7 years.
There is permanent swelling and fistula. Residual structures are enough to do build-up
by cast post and PFM crown. This is a treatment plan of referral. I have my doubt about
sealing ability of small amount MTA in shallow pulp chamber. Debridement and shaping
has been done, irrigation NaOCl, calcium hydroxide, temporary filling. I have to make a
decision in two weeks. Has anybody idea how to do build up and close the perforation?
Hi Ilya, is there a communication to oral cavity? If yes you better flap it, do a good hemostasis
and close the perforation with a composite. If there is noc communication just do MTA repair with
or without a barriere depending on the defect in the periodontium. - Jörg
