Subject: [roots] Referring dentist Endo!
Here is a case of IP on a young referring dentist who does not do much
endo....If only he let me do the build up's on his patients also..):
Inspite of all of us trying our best on all our patients, there is this
XTRA pressure while working on another dentist. If its a good referral
hopefully he remains so and if its a new referral hopefully he/she
becomes one - No sweat ha! Overall had fun with this one!
Suggestions welcome - Rajiv Patel, Flower Mound,TX

Really nice case, Rajiv. Why not ask him to let you do his build ups.
I do molar endo for two young dentists here and I bond and seal the
cases and do a buildup. I do not charge for the buildup so that leaves
them to option to redo it if they like at a fee. The only reason they
should not want you to do the buildup is they feel they can do it better
or they want the fee. One of my referrals does not change the buildup
and does not charge. The other has a buildup fee incorporated into his
crown fee for endodontically treated teeth so he charges. I’ve covered
myself and left it open to them to change it. - Guy
It's mostly about the $$$'s. I tried to do them and was given a polite"
Dr X prefers to do his own bu" It's the best time to place the BU while
the field is isolated to the optimum.....but we do not live an ideal world.
