Subject: [roots] did i get fooled on this one!
This tooth was annoying from the jump. 2nd molar severely tipped,
totally threw off my perspective in the scope gaining access.
Took me 40 minutes to find 3 canals 1st visit. I found 3 canals,
then promptly snapped off a 40 .02 in the mb canal, something I haven’t
done for a while. Retrieved that, finished instrumentation and irrigation.
I knew that the mb and ml came together, that was easily visible in the
scope. What I didn’t know is that the distal canal also came together.
I had decided to fill the mb canal first, then the ml, distal last.
So I’m pumping resilon down into the mb, and I’m pumping, and I’m getting
nervous wondering where is all this stuff going, did you blow the apex and
are doing a trabecular fill. as I start to downpack, I happen to catch
site of the distal canal, and realize it is completely filled!
From the bottom up! I quickly start down pack there also, get scared fill
is void riddled, pull out the system b and repack vertically, then finish
the ml canal. Result isn’t half bad, but I don’t recommend my route to
getting there. Kinda like following your gps vs. directions from the guy
whose house you are going to. For the endo interested. Apical sizes are
40 .02-50 .02 with coronal gg 4-3-2 flare, resilon/epiphany very modified
squirt, vertical down pack/system b kind of thingy - gary
