Retreatment case......cbct prior to initiation of treatment - Fred
Dr Fred, I always enjoy going through the CBCT images you send, also very thankful to you for sharing the same.
I want to ask you, can the same amount of diagnostic information can be obtained from a DENTA SCAN software done
using a spiral CT , i do understand the exposure is much higher than CBCT but in some difficult to diagnose cases,
can denta scan be used similarly??? can a 3D denta scan help us diagnose a VRF???
one of my patient came to me with a dentalscan but I found it difficult to read, can u please tell me any reference
where i can learn how to analyze a a spiral CT in light of endodontic anatomy!!!!! - Vishal Jain
Using spiral ct to dx a vrf would be analogous to using an elephant gun to bring down a chipmunk. Major overkill.
Much higher exposure, and a poorer quality image, and a much higher cost to the patient - gary
