Dear Dr Venkat fabulously done case!
But I have a question. The crown seems all hollowed out with very little toothstructure
on the periphery, it appears that risk of fracture of crown is an imminent risk.
- how do you handle that? - Dr Sanjay Jamdade
Thanks Sanjay for asking this question.
I discuss at the start the perio, resto and endo prognosis with the patient. (see attached pics)
In this case we did discuss the resto prognosis is fair. all risks and options were presented.
Especially this case where both marginal ridges have been restored and had previous endo treatment,
he risk scale goes up.
If it fractures mid treatment, then I would assess the remaining tooth structure and continue or
discontinue treatment.
she is fine after 9 months after treatment. and restorative dentist was happy with the ferrule
he achived. i hope it lasts we never know .do we? - venkat
