An appeal from "Jeevan Prabhat" centres being run by Arya Samaj, Gandhidham, Gujarat, India Respected Sir Namaste! As you are aware Arya Samaj Gandhidham is running "Jeevan Prabhat" (an orphanage cum widow home for the earthquake affected) in Gandhidham and in Pondicherry for the Tsunami affected. We are rearing these children like our own children without any distinction of caste, creed or religion and totally free of cost. At present we have 200 children under our care. The monthly expense of rearing these children comes to approximately Rs. 5 Lacs. We do not take any government grant for this but are totally dependent on contributions from noble persons like you. This year Jeevan Prabhat is completing 10 successful years and also it is the 25th year of Shri Vachonidhi's joining Arya Samaj Gandhidham. During this period Arya Samaj Gandhidham has constantly progressed and is now one of the model Arya Samaj. To commemorate both these occasions we are publishing a special full colour issue of Unnati. this issue will highlight the progress of Arya Samaj Gandhidham during the past 25 years and also the progress of Jeevan Prabhat during the past 10 years and tell you about our future plans.
