Subject: [roots] First impressions of Start X Ultrasonic tips
Here is a case I have just finished today. It has been of great aid Maillefer Start X ultrasonic tips.
Number #2 in order to locate MB2 canal and number #3 in order to explore a huge isthmus between
DB and P canal. In my short experience (3 months) Start X tips are great because its high cutting capacity,
its great resistance to fracture and because they donīt burn dentin even in dry work.
Pulps diagnosis: Previously initiated therapy
Periapical diagnosis: Asymptomatic Apical Abscess
Two step t
reatment with Ca(OH)2 medication for 15 days. Instrumentation with hybrid technique:
Protaper/Profile/ hand filing with K-files in the last millimeter of the palatal canal in order
to negotiate a short radius curvature. Weine type II configuration in MB root.
Obturation (guttapercha and AHPlus) with continuous wave of condensation technique. Coronal seal
