Here’s a case I did today.  No way, would have performed the endo if I hadn’t been allowed to place
amalgam (even thought I was able to keep the deep gingival box dry by floating a matrix band secured by Dycal).
Subgingival composite margins just aren’t as reliable especially when you don’t know how the crown is going
to be prepped later by a guy without a microscope.  - Terry.
