Subject: [roots] Upper molar with resorption
This one was referred to complete RCT on 26. Emergency expulp had been done because of pulpitis.
When I removed the temporary, a strange non-carious tooth substance loss was visible around the RC space.
Most likely ECIR. Note the tiny shell of dentin between the pulp space and resorption. I cl&sh the 4 canals
and cleaned the resorptive cavity the best I could and sealed with glass ionomer. Hope it will be fine
for some time... - Maarten
Dear Maarten, First of all thank you for all the help with your pics for my presentation.
Regarding this case, Great service done to the patient. What was the method of obturation? esp in the palatal canal.
There seems to be a slight void at the apical region, but then the apex seems so wide. What was the Master apical
size in the palatal? - Mahalaxmi
Hi Mahalaxmi, Obturation was warm vertical, continuous wave. Apical size in the palatal was ISO 60. I agree that
the coronal half of the palatal is somewhat undershaped - Maarten
