Subject: [roots] Weird Opacity and Failure
Necrotic Maxillary premolar treated back in 2006. It had a LEO and a weird opacity next to it.
4 years later I saw her on recall after the maxillary first molar fractured and was extracted by the RD yesterday.
RD noticed lesion was bigger next to the premolar and that weird opacity was still there. I took a cbCT and
it doesn’t look like a root - more like a cementoma. But I’m not sure. I may dive in surgically just to see what
the hell it is. That lesion is BIG, though.
Anybody seen anything like this before? Suggestions? - Rob Kaufmann DMD MS(Endo)
